Do you order ammo from any of the CGN sponsors and if so, which ones and does it end up being more expensive then going to a store when you include delivery charges?

Milsurp ammo

Usually I am buying milsurp, so it is stuff I can't get at my local store anyway. You 'bite the bullet' and pay the shipping.

Max...

I can pick up crates of x39 for 199 + tax for about 215 so out the door, which is better than any place online. I can also pick up bullets and primers and powder from either LeBarons or AlSimmons or Target Sports so I don't really have to order much.

Gone are the days of buying 100 packs of Win 9MM for 18 bucks. :(

Most of what I shoot is reloaded. Most of the brass started out as factory ammo bought from local gun shops, C.Tire, or Wal-Mart. (I did get one good sized batch of once-fired brass from the EE here.) Bullets, powder, primers I usually get from local gun shops. My small living quarters aren't suitable for storing very large quantities of ammo so I accept I can't take advantage of the best possible prices for ammo and/or components.

I bought a case ox x39 from Frontier and it cost $199 + tax included shipping. I bought a second cae from them when I got the CZ858...shipping was also free.

Buyer beware in this case.
Figure out the Ontario price with tax...and your time and gas to pick-it up
vs.
Ordering out of province, paying one tax and shipping.

This goes for parts as well.
ex. I ordered a Daniel Defense Rail out of province and saved $80 vs. driving to Target Sports and paying their price.

(you can buy from any store...the stores advertising at the top of the screen don't really give deals to forum users)

I've bought cases of ammo in person from Target Sports when they got the first load of SA ammo. I've ordered cases of ammo and bullets from Marstar. I've ordered cases of ammo from Canadian Ammo, and Ellwood Epps.

crate of 762x39 at frontier is 199 plus shipping
crate locally 300, save about 50, but i have to wait a week

WSS Calgary got a whole bunch of the cheap crate stuff for $4.20/box and 149 or 199/crate.

I would buy 12 gauge target loads from anyone if they would get them to me for less than $55/flat.

I use Wolverine (Ryan S), P&D Enterprises (Chris) for my hard to get ammo needs, Chris goes the extra mile to get the good stuff. Had him order a five cases of 5.56 Hornady 75gr. BTHP T2 and they were shipped to me within three weeks. Pretty good to order from the States and get it shipped to customer in 3wks!

I also use Ellwood Epps for ammunition needs and Marstar for bulk plated Frontier bullets and buckshot.

I have seen 7.62x39 locally for $185, no shipping. Good deals to be had, you just have to search harder these days for ammo deals (they are out there).

I remember buying two cases of Win Ranger-T 147gr. from Wolverine for $13 a box! Remington 180gr. BJHP`s I got for $11 a box! This was just 14 months ago or less. Stock up when you find the deals!

Scotty, I'm in Toronto, close to the 905 area. Where do you buy the 7.62x39
ammo. Is it in the GTA? I wouldn't mind saving the considerable shipping charges. Would appreciate any info.
Thanks
