Do you order ammo from a sponsor?

I buy 9mm from Marstar, and have always been happy with the price, delivery time, etc.

I will be purchasing more 9mm, 12 guage, a Norc 1911 and other odds and ends soon...just need to pay off the credit cards.

Support your local dealer.....it is always the best thing to do....even if it costs a little bit more

Yeah... Better for them.

If they aren't drawing you in via services or prices than you should go elsewhere. That includes CGN sponsors, your local store, or the big box.

What happened to the customer is always right. Now it is support your local store first... Nope...

Besides, the stores that do support the customers are supported by the local populace, so it is not an issue. But giving the local shop an extra 100 on a case of ammo when I can have the same product shipped to me for less is not in my best interest.

PS I have even tried to create threads to consolidate sales and deals, and advised local dealers of the opportunity to post sales and features here. Not much result. I have called and emailed a few local shops last week and said I want "x, y and z this week" send me a price. and I get no response or a response that amounts to "yeah whatever" ... So I buy from stores in Alberta or Ontario, save the tax, and got great service. I guess the local joints are happy with the fudd money...

You got that one right. My local dealer is the "recruiting director" for our gun club so as a member as well as a director myself I buy all my bullets, powder and primers through him. It is a wee bit more expensive but ive found after factoring in the shipping as well as the dangerous goods charge on top of that, its just easier to go thru my dealer.

Ironic that Canada Ammo came under criticism for quite a while over "only" having crates of 7.62x39 on their site...now look at them - major players in the Norky import market plus medium to higher end toys as well. And what do they lack? The plain jane ammo. But CanAm is gathering momentum and I expect they're trying to acquire just about everything that's out there.

For me I've ordered Tok surplus pistol ammo from Marstar (satisfied) and had a Gunnutz buddy pick up a crate of 7.62x39 from Lever in Vancouver (very satisfied). Victoria buyers may find it worthwhile to "sponsor" someone for a van run when Lever has a special going.

Last time I ordered ammo (I handload for my long arms) I got 2 cases of 45 ACP hardball from Rick at Alberta Tactical. Impossible to get handgun ammo out here in the sticks. With all the farting around to get the ammo to me it will probably be impossible to get from Rick next time too! Glad I got 2 cases instead of 1!
