Do you think Norinco will ever make an M6 Scout?

Seems the people that have them are holding on tight and the price is gone way above the utility rifle range on the ones in circulation as they are considered collectors. Considering all that, An inexpensive Norinco version would likely be a hit... no?

I have looked at the Savage 410/22 combo and it just doesn't cut the mustard

I'd buy one just for the Neatness factor. Someone ought to put a bug in their ear it ain't gonna happen. ;) Like to see this one as well, suitably modified for legality of course.

Grizz

Chiappa just put out a video a few days ago that shows their newest versions of the double badger, which looks quite similar, but a little bigger than the M6 Scout. They had a .22/20ga version and a .22/12ga version with a bunch of barrel adapter inserts for the 12ga for i think 8 or 9 different calibers.
Hopefully they won't take too long to get them onto the market.

+1

I would love to see this happen. I think the simplicity of this design, should be right up their alley for mass production.

I have also been less than impressed with the Savage 42.

Now the real debate is.....

What calibres?:stirthepot2:

"...Norinco m1 garand!..." Far too expensive to tool up for. The only reason the Chinese have made M14 style rifles is because they stole or were otherwise supplied with the drawings from Taiwan. Highly unlikely they'd ever make an M6. Not enough market.

They didn't steal the drawings, they bought the tooling to make them directly from the US goverment

The last M6s were made in Czechslovakia.
Who made them for Springfield?
Why not look to the Czech Republic instead of China?

The Chinese will make anything that they can make a buck on, as long as they can steal the correct information to build it,
