Do You Tumble 1F Brass ?

Yes... energy is cheap.
Rifle brass goes to the tumbler again after full resizing to remove lube.

Neck sized brass... once in a while, otherwise steel wool treatment only.

Yup, everything comes home from the range and into the tumbler for 2hrs, or longer if my media is getting dirty or the brass is unusually fouled.

For the last 3 to 4 weeks the range has been a mud hole, so all my pitol brass has needed a "bath" and drying in the oven before it goes in the tumbler.

Cheers

I always tumble all my brass. The range pickup stuff from the last few weeks gets a wash in the sink, a shaking off, and into the tumbler. I see no need to dry them thorougly as the vibrating media causes all the moisture to evaporate out and have never had a problem with the media or brass doing it this way. Its just alot nicer using fresh, shiny brass.

For all the work involved, I tumble all rifle brass after sizing, to get the lube off, and to better visually inspect it. And all pistol brass before sizing, to get the dirt off it before putting it through the dies (sometimes again after, to clean up the primer pockets). Fortunately, I have enough brass for at least 3-4 range trips, in everything I load for. So if it takes time, it's no big deal.

I tumble all brass, every time it is shot. Not because it needs it, but I like the nice shiny look. :)

And thanks to this thread, it reminded me that I left a batch of 1F brass in polishing away in the tumbler since yesterday. (at least it will be shiny )

Can't see a reason not to tumble.

So everything gets tumbled a couple of hours after every shoot.

Not like it takes alot of effort or resources on my part. I dump them in, go about my life, get them later.
