Do You Use 30-30 for Deer

Nothing uglier than a lever gun with a scope .

A couple of us in our Deer hunting group used to carry Winchesters and Marlins in 44 and 30 wcf but have since moved on. they definitly have their place, just a matter of preference.

I put a scope on my marlin because I found I was shooting hi far too many times because the back site was down as far as it could go. On targets when I took my time and used a fine site I was deadly but in real hunting conditions I tend to take a more course site and shoot hi. The scope has fixed my problems. OK I admit it my eyesight is going too!!

Why I would prefer a red dot sight.

magnums can't do it either- must have 4 inch HOWITZER(that's a 105mm)- or did you want to take just one?
