hello,
I had a bad experience with Tasco Optima about 6 yrs ago, the sight cant just handle the battering especially when mounted on the slide to a pistol, Now I am entertaining of trying to install this DOCTER to a 38 super / open gun for IPsC. any eperience or idea if this sight can handle the stress? thanks

The Docter has a recoil resistance of at least 1000 G's according to the manual, you can pretty much mount it on anything.

so what the diff. between the 2 (Docter and Burris Fast Fire)except for the price, the Burris FastFire a little bit cheaper, but I need at least 6-8 dot for my pistol. they only come in 4 mindot.

I haven't heard of a "mirco" dot in the range that you are looking for. The FastFire dot is larger than the Docter Optic. Cheaper price, and unless your life depends on it a great buy!.

I sell the Docter units and just got the fastfire's in. The fastfires are cheaper for a reason. They are not a bad unit, but the adjustment mechanisms seemed rather weak in comparison to the Docter. I have yet to torture test one, but the Docter unit I had on the range 12ga, lasted 4 years, and only died when a customer dropped the gun on the sight from standing position.

Head down to AirsoftCanada.com and ask around. It's only purpose is to look like a DOCTER sight...
