Doctor Optic Red dot sights on ACOGs

Hi,

I was looking at the SOPMOD program post in the Black rifles section and I was wondering how many guys have the TA01NSN w/Doctor Optic Red dot sight. I have an ACOG but I was wondering how the red dot sight is? Any feedback on performance? I did a search but not a heck of a lot on the sight in the archives. Where are guys picking them up from as well?

Many of the guys I shoot Tac carbine with use the Dr. optic with their ACOG. They all swear by them. I don't have one for my Acog yet but is definetly on my priority list of things to get. I know Wolverine has the Dr. optic sight but they didn't have the mount for the ACOG. You might have to find a used mount on the EE forum here.

Jayson to clarify what I am asking is how does the red dot perform - has anyone seen it fail? Is the sight really high - difficult to get a good cheek weld with? Those type questions...

I have one on my 11.5" AR. I have also used it on my service rifle. It has never failed me. The cheek weld is more like a chin weld with the collapsible stock, but I have no trouble using it and keeping rounds on target with it. I love it......
