I own a Gevarm E-1 and I bought an 8 shot factory mag and it has the company stamp on it. I talked to a guy that has two 20 shot mags: one he is sure was back in the mid 70`s when he bought the rifle used and the other mag was bought at a gun show a few years back. Neither of these mags have the Gevarm insignia on them. Not sure whether to purchase the package or not???? Can anyone confirm this about the stamp??? Thanks,Darcy
Here is my 8 shot:

these guns were made for a long time, i just checked all 5 of my mags. none of them are stamped. probably some where some were not depending on the era.

i was bored and wanted to tease you. here are 5 Gevarm mags and a Voere closed bolt mag since you asked about it the other day, it DOES NOT FIT.

Gevarm mags are 25, 20, 20, 10, 8.

Guess what type of 22 ammo that is, also you know some Gevarms have threaded muzzles right? want a picture aswell?

Notice the bottom plate on the third picture of the 10 round mag is different than the one you posted proving there production varied...

Was even more bored and tried a squires bingham mag, knowing that it would not fit. i tried the italian brand "SOVEREIGN" and it did fit, but was way too snug i wouldnt recommend you try them, probably are way harder to find than Gevarms anyway ;) they are for the explorer takedown 22 rifle.

You, Crosman177.....can jump right off a cl_ff.

Joking, lmao. You, my friend.....are a Gevarm horder.

By the way, where is it again that you live? I forgot your address. Kidding.
I only knew they made a 8 and 20. never knew about the 10 and 25.
You think you are soooooooooo smart, here is something for you to try and dig up: Show me a really good pic(all sides) of one of those aftermarket ones from Triple K or Western Gun Parts.
The owner did say his mags had the two long ovals in them, I wonder if the aftermarket ones replicated this???

thought you'd like it. i don't buy knockoff copies just the originals. but i got the pictures for you. anything else?? what do i win. ya i'm that good. seen you asking about these Gevarms for couple weeks you were drooling for information!!!
$45 from gunparts and $80 from other place...

Just tried CIL Anshutz 22 semi mag, it is very close but no cigar.

I heard the closed bolt model Gevarm made uses a slightly different mag but i cannot confirm that... anyone want to sell one to me so i can find out???

Are you going to be around through-out all day and evening tomorrow? The owner is sending pics of the gun and mags. I`ll post them on this topic when I get them. I`d like a second opinion on them before I buy. I know the gun needs the stock re-done(no problem), the crinkle finish on action is scratched up( not sure if Canadian tire crinkle in a can is close)??? and the blueing was redone by owner(blueing in a box). I`m not too worried about the blueing, but the rest I will redo.

whats the price tag on it? the speckled paint and soft walnut upset me on the gevarms :( way to easy to damage.

there are a lot more Gevarms collectors on here so i'm sure you will get the help.

Its too bad you wernt around for Febuary of 2011 when the new discoverd shipments were being imported. they had the threaded barrels and 25 shot mags. $350 new i think it was.

i should mention that the 8 and 10 rounder may be one of those 1960/70's South American Rubi extra/Venturi/Mahely copies. I've gone thru a number of open bolt rifles and mags and forgot where everything came from. but there exactly the same and possibly could be the same tooling that was bought from France kinda like what Remington did with sending the there Nylon tooling and brand to Brazil? anyone know if my theory is correct???

Interesting post. Yup. Both of my 20's are stamped. Have one non-stamped 8 round after market. Love the pictures of the plated HP ammo. Have green box un-opened lead bullet Gevelot.
