Basically looking for something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbtwyWfnc2U

I guess would be a Stag 10 except with a .22 conversion... would like all the normal AR handling to be the same otherwise. What's out there that's NR?

You can put a .22 cal CMMG BCG in any 223 barrelled MDI/ATRS. It may not be the cheapest but you get full capacity mags and an identical training rifle as your AR

Its more similar to the appearance of a CZ Bren but the GSG 15 is close.... Mossberg makes something to I believe. All the AR 15 is a restricted semi auto rifle with relatively universal ergonomics. Several firearms can fit into that category as well.... My best suggestion is to look up AR 22lr uppers that can be fit to lower receivers. I have not seen a complete 22lr AR 15 sold in Canada.

i have the CMMG .22 conversion and drops right into a milspec AR

Fits an AR fine. Modern sporter receiver is about 3/16 “ shorter than an AR receiver. It doesn’t fit the sporter. I sent my cmmg bolt to ATRS and they modified it. Now it fits both. I had a thread on it a few weeks ago where I tested accuracy with it.

AR-15s and their variants are restricted. You won't find a non-restricted AR-15 in any caliber. The closest you'll get is a .22lr made to appear like an AR-15. Some parts are interchangeable (e.g. buttstock, pistol grip, etc) but it is not functionally the same as an AR-15.

I wanted something similar and ended up settling on a Ruger SR-22. Honestly can't wait to dress it up.
