I'm looking at a 1959 era High Standard Duramatic 101
Im trying to find out if it has a last shot slide lock feature in it?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards, Henry

I have one but i think it was made in the early 70's. I don't shoot it often and i honestly can't remember it locking open. It's a great shooter though, very accurate.

yes it does.... http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/FIREARMS/histandard_m101.pdf

look at part 3010 (safety) if you look on the slide, there are two "half crown" cutouts on the left side.. the rearward one is there it will lock into when you engage the safety (slide closed). once you put the safety off, the slide will go back, and then the safety is the put on again (when the slide is back) to lock the slide..

I can send you pictures if you want.. I have one upstairs.

Henry Nierychlo - Yesterday I took my high standard duramatic m-101 to the range just to see if it did have the last shot slide lock or not because i couldn't remember for sure. It turns out it does not have it although you can lock it open for cleaning etc. It's a great gun. Ended up shooting it more than i was planning to ! Very accurate but mag release is a little awkward for me.
