Hey Folks,

Not sure if this is a good place to put this BUT.....I was wondering if anyone has a collection of odds and ends spare parts for Enfields.

I seem to have lost the bolt that holds the reciever to the Mag Well...slightly in front of the Magazine well.

Additionally, are there many spare Enfield Mk.4 No.1 mags around?....I have one but it was bent in at the guide lips to facilitate firing blanks......would like to replace it if I can...

Thanks for your input...just don't have anyone around that seems to have one...

The screw is available from Marstar for $4. Note that you will also need a spacer and a lockwasher. As well, the spacer has to be filed to the right height to provide proper barrel float at the end of the forestock.

Spare mags have got ridiculous in their price. What was once $10 or 20, has now climbed to $35 to $50. Keep an eye on the EE, they show up from time to time.

Overall, most Enfield collectors tend to hoard all spare parts until they have at least 20 of any one thing. And even then they are careful and continue to look for more. At least that's my experience and I am quite guilty of it myself.

Every Enfield guy should have a spare extractor and spring. All the other parts are very robust and only need replaced if lost or damaged.

The mag lips can be bent back up using the rim of a cartridge, or you can do it on the rifle with a screwdriver. Also, the barrel should NOT float at the muzzle! The forearm should exert upward pressure on the barrel. I would imagine that the little collar is probably still there, anyway, since they are usually a pretty tight fit. If not, you will have to file it to fit, then adjust the trigger pull.

Hey guys...Epps, Marstar and all these commercial Vendor charge tax and have a minumum plus S&H....that $4.00 parts will be costly. Make a list of things to meet the minimum purchasing requirements.

Thanks for all the input and help folks!....

I was able to secure the King Screw I needed......thanks again for all the help.....

I WILL take a look at rebending the Mag lips back into position....Hopefully it works!

Cheers everyone!
