I'd like to acquire a decent and simple scope with a simple illuminated dot in centre of x hairs for a .22 and also for a calling rifle. Anything anybody can recommend?
Trijicon's accupoint line is really good. There are a variety of options. I prefer their mildot. The 1-6x is really nice for faster rifles, the 3-9x is pretty nice and so is their 2-10x
