Does anybody know where the mystical land of bore brushes is?

I keep my brushes and jags in those really small Plano tackle boxes. The clear plastic kind. They're about 4"x6" with 5 slots. Put a strip of masking tape inside the lid to mark the calibers on and just drop them back in the proper slot when you're done.
Now there's a good idea

I love those flat, clear plastic tackle boxes. They come in all kinds of sizes, and they're great for keeping all the small, easily lost doo-dads where you can find them. I use them for cleaning supplies, reloading stuff, gun parts and lots of other good stuff. Not to mention fishing tackle. Helps me keep the bench somewhat organized.

I have used tackle boxes for cleaning supplies for awhile now, very handy practice.

About 20 years ago i bought an inexpensive fishing tackle box to use as a cleaning kit. I keep the different size rfle and shotgun brushes, jags, and related paraphernalia in separate compartments in the trays meant for fishing lures. New stuff still in the wrapper gets kept in the bottom, along with some pre-cut patches and other cleaning stuff. Works great. I still can't find the right brush half the time but at least I know where I lost it.

I keep all my bore brushes (mostly nylon) in a Barnes X bullet box. Since I use WIPEOUT mostly these days, I rarely use them.

Awhile ago I bought a set of Tipton brass jags. They come with a little box with appropriate holes for them, and I dont' lose them anymore. I only use about 8 of 12 the jags, but it was worth it just to have somewhere to keep them all together.:)

+1 The only way to go. That tipton set and a can of wipeout for me! My bronze brushes are all over the place.

missing

To all people missing brushes this is a conspiracy my brushes are missing to I have no idea were my .30 or my .243 brushes are they are out carousing at the bars picking up hairy chicks and up to no good we better get a handle on this or it will be be dirty bores for all of us, :0)))

I use one of those vertical bolt/screw originiser chests for all my brushes and associated cleaning items. The one with the pull out clear drawers.

I labeled the top left drawer .17, and all 17 stuff goes in there. The drawers are labeled left to right in consecutive higher calibers, heavier cals end up on the next drawer row down, and so on.

The bottom rows are used for universal jags, muzzle traps, etc. I mounted some hooks on the side of the chest, and have my bore guides clipped into those.

It's one the few places of my life orginised in such a way...things kinda go down hill from there. ......(the reload bench is close however)

Ya I'm a tackle box guy too. All my cleaning stuff is in a sturdy old steel tackle box that used to be my grandpa's.

So I go to the top drawer to find my brushes. And if I can't find the one I need there I just check the lower box by the jags. If its not there I empty all the crap out of the bottom main bin and check there. And when that doesn't turn up the brush I need I check my range bag, the shop and the floor of my truck. When its still on the lam I just buy a couple new 270 cal or whatever it is, and put them in the top drawer of my tackle box. Simple. And fool proof.
