Does anybody remember when Glocks were over a thousand bucks?

I recall wanting to buy a Glock 17 in 2005 and my budget was 1000. I don't think many places could go that low. I wonder if Glock prices will creep up again with the weakened CDN dollar.

Not over a 1k, but close. I paid $960 for my first 17. They were selling fast too. I remember I called the store and they had 6 instock that Wednesday evening, and by Saturday when i went in to purchase i got the last one.

When I bought mine, it was just under a grand. This was...04', it was from what I was told, a police model. Trijicon night sights, 3 mags, and a police serial number.. Whatever that means. /Didn't care.

As much as I drink the Kool Aid, I had a hard enough time paying $800 for my 21 and $720ish for my 17, doubt I'd ever be willing to pay $1K, especially when the S&W M&P kit comes with a holster and mag pouches for $650ish.

$1000 would be pretty steep. At that price point buying one from the states and importing it would be cheaper. Or buy a used one. For the $1000 price point I'd just buy a Sig.

They go for about $500 new, $350 Stateside. Don't you love being Canadian.

That's what they should be up here & in Canadian dollars to boot.

We're just gettin' gouged! :bsFlag:

Duties; S&W is manufactured in a NAFTA country and isn't subject to duty when imported. The same cannot be said for Glock.

I traded a like new desert eagle for a glock 20 the desert eagle was $1400.00 new and I think the glock was $1100.00 with trijicon sights.
that was over 20 years ago

I had no idea they went for that much, holy. I remember Colt M4 (LE6920) were going for about $2,500 not that long ago, some joker on EE had a pair of them up for 2 years and 30+ bumps, haha! Looks like he finally took them down.
