Does Anyone Else Shoot Their Pistol Like This??

Hi, I'm just curious if anyone else shoots their pistol the way I do or am I just a weirdo? First off, I'm right handed and have right eye dominance. What seems strange to me, well actually to others is that I grip the handle with my left hand and brace with my right. It just feels so much more natural than the other way around. I can do it the other way, but it just isn't as comfortable. Now when I grip a rifle, I hold the grip with my right and brace with my left. When I took my Safety Coarse I was the only one that did this. Is there anyone else out there like this. Just curious. I won't lose any sleep over it. I figure do what ever works for you. I just find it strange.

My lefty Dad, sometimes shoots righty, but not often. I use my right hand for everything, unless I'm purposely practicing with my left hand, which is not very often.

There is no right or wrong way providing your grip on the gun is firm and you can hit your target. If hitting the target is an issue, if the gun cycling properly is an issue, or if you find recoil an issue, you will have to make adjustments in your grip, otherwise have at it.

I'm right eye dominant and right handed but have to use my left eye. Works for me.

I am righty for most everything, but if I pick up a bow I hold it left handed.. (bow in my right, draw with my left) never thought about it, just seemed natural... now that I think of it I shoot pool left handed too... weird

That's awesome--but do they make them for lefties?

I am left handed and right eye dominant. I shoot rifles and bows right handed, but when I go to shoot a handgun for the first time next week it will be left handed.

By the way, Horatio must have his head off to the side for easy application of sunglasses. Sometimes his role as head of the CSI team requires him to apply them for strategic poses to intimidate perps.
