Does anyone have an 30 Carbine Lee case length gauge they can measure for me?

I am going to trim 762x25 cases and Lee doesn't make a Case Length Gauge. I figured if the pin is long enough on the end of the 30 Carbine gauge I can shorten it from it's length of 1.28" to .98" . I need someone to measure the pin length to see if I can remove that much. Nobody in town has one I can buy or measure.
Thanks!

You want to remove .30" from the pin? I doubt it will clear the flash hole at that point. It'll probably just jam the beveled part into the flash hole inside and still not give you the length you need as the end of the pin wont be touching the base of the shell holder. There wouldn't be much of a pin left on the end at all after removing that much material.

You could see if a local small machine shop can make you one. Or try an ad in the EE for any machinists in your end of Canada with a lathe at home. Would take minutes to make and cost next to nothing in material. Or you could provide any longer .30 cal gauge for them to shorten. One for 7.62x39 would be perfect but one for even a 308 or 30-06 would probably do the job.

Yeah Lutnit, that's why I wanted to meaure one up and see if it's worth it. The other idea I had was to use a 10mm Auto CLG because it has the proper length, being only .2 of a mm more in length, but then I would need to lathe it down from its 10mm to 7.62mm on the "body" to go into the Tokarev case. :) I wish Lee would just make the Tok round a common CLG and not a custom order. I have a buddy with a lathe who is a shooter, so maybe the 10mm Auto one is the way to go. Just thinking out loud here. :)
