I went to a local gun show and after some looking around I stumbled upon a cavalry lengthed rifle (in pretty poor condition )that appeared to be a martini Henry and in my haste I only looked at the side to see if there was a crown or not (to see if was British or Nepalese) and I bought it once I saw the crown. I payed the gentleman who said it was a martini and that it's in no shape to shoot ( no problem ) but once I got home and looked at it under the light I noticed it didn't look right . There was no ENFIELD mark ,what was in the place of the ENFIELD was a series of English letter that seemed to make no sense not to mention they were upside down in relation to the crown and the date didn't make sense.
So my question is what are your thoughts: did the guy scam me by calling it a martini ,is it a kyber pass copy , is it worth anything ( out of embarrassment I don't want to say what I payed ) ?
Generally any thoughts?
