I thought it might be a dog tag but there is no name, Please enlighten me.
CCF was Canadian Car and Foundry. Built Hurricanes and other aircraft during WW2. Dunno if that's what the CCF on the tag means... but?
From the date on the bottom, you may be right.
Tags to identify parts maybe?
As mentioned above, aircraft parts tag I bet.
In no particular order;
Model or Type, Series, Manufacturers’s part number, serial number, order number and stock number.
May also be marked by the parts person, fitter or rigger who checked or installed the part.
self sealing stembolt?
Interdimensional transfunctioner?
Looks like some kind of equipment dog-tag. What's on the other side?
