Not sure if this is normal for Bushnell, as I never dealt with their warranty before.

Filled out their warranty request form, which I had sent along with the scope into their repair center in Missisagua.
I figured I would give them some time to process this, but it has been almost 4 weeks and I never heatd from them...
No email, no phone call..nothing.

I had called their repair center last wednesday, but all I was able to do was to leave a message.
I'm yet to recieve any response.

Today I called them again...was transfered by a secretary into some kind of a Q holding pattern...once again I had left a callback number...still nothing.

Is this normal for these guys and if not, would anyone happen to know the correct extension number so I can get a live person at Bushnell to actually help me?

Keep an eye out for a sheet of paper in the mail, about the size of a postcard. That's the first step. I've done it a few times and usually it takes them a few weeks to send that. Then it's another couple weeks usually until they send the repaired or replaced item back. Anyway, the paper they send you has reference number you can use for follow up. I found they responded to emails with the reference number within a couple days.

Thank you for this information guys.
Too bad I couldn't just walk in, as I'm only about 45 min away from them, but they have some "because of Covid" excuse posted on their website, which is preventing me from doing so.

If it really takes this long, that is a sad state of affairs.
Not sure if it is due to being understaffed or due to the high volume of returns, but in any case this does not look good on Bushnell.

The only time I used them i sent them my scope received no communication and then about a month later I found a canadapost pickup notice in my mailbox.

It was a replacement scope with a letter saying the broke one was discontinued and they provided the "closet" equivalent to it.

Mine took 2 months and it was before covid. Did that for a friend. No bushnell in my house. Had a 6500 that was very nice but too heavy for me. All my rifles now carry Leupold. Best warranty in the country by far.

That is a good point...most people are too focused on the actual product (I was one of them) and little things like warrantee are not really any source of concern to them...that is until they need it of course.

Lesson learned...the exact warrantee process will be the first question out of my mouth for any of my future optic transactions, no matter how good of a deal or how capable it may be.

All I know is, that right now I have a rifle which can't be used as intended, sitting in my gun cabinet, waiting for the scope and collecting dust.

This sounds normal from my experience. I had a older scope I sent in as one turret no longer worked. I never heard a thing from them and all of a sudden 2 months later a brand new scope of the newer equivalent line showed up in the mail. It was slower than I would have liked but I was happy they just sent me a replacement.

Not touchy Feely, or great communicators. However, they fix it, and i believe it was like a $10 shipping fee.

Unlike the azzhales at Korth group, worst experience with customer service/warranty ever....for anything. I own one leupold scope, the highest value optic i ever bought. Everything else got sold, trade leupold are parted out. No problem with the actual scopes, just not ever going to buy one again and give one cent to Korth.

I had a Bushnell "Trophy" scope with problems, called up the warranty guys and they told me to send it in. They sent me a new scope. All in all, a bit over 2 weeks. That was back in the spring.

On another occasion, I needed covers for the adjustments on a Tasco scope on my 10/22. They promptly sent me covers plus a spare.

Overall, I've had good luck dealing with them.

2 weeks is pretty reasonable...even a month is not horrible.
Will see how this one plays out.

Honestly, I think the system is set up the wrong way.
Ideally, you should be able to walk into the store you bought it from, get a replacement on the spot and let them deal with the warranty, as they would have well established insider channels for this.

This way you can go back to shooting and it should not make any difference to the store, as far as how long it takes to send a new one back.
