I am seriously considering scrapping my 10/22 project and getting a Volquartsen.
Anyone here in Canada own one? I would get mine without the compensator.

Volq doesn't ship to Canada anymore :(

I tried to buy some stuff a while ago and here is some of the correspondence:

Thanks for your reply.
When did you stop shipping to Canada? I have purchased an extractor for my Remington 597 and had it shipped from you before.

Thanks,

<My name>,

We stopped only a very short time ago due to several reasons. We have finally found some companies that will distribute our product in Canada which helps but the bigger reason is that our export laws that govern these shipments seem like they are constantly changing. Our export sales are very minimal so we recommend our international customers now go through our distribution network.

If you can't find a rifle that is already in the country, getting it out of the U.S. may be a heap of work. I wouldn't give up though, you might try contacting them anyway to get their distribution list. Another company may by willing to deal with the inane U.S. laws.

Good luck to you.

Thanks for the response. I too find it sometimes hard to believe how hard it is to get stuff out of the states. So much $$$ us Canadians are looking to spend in the U.S. You'd think to get their economy back on track they'd revamp their constrictive policy.

(Sorry for the spelling and grammer, one too many glasses of white wine tonight :) )

Sylvestre Source For Sports in Bonnyville AB import Volq's, my 22 Standard should be here any day now :)

Exactly like pic above but with plain HB.

Call and ask for Mitch, he is selling them for almost par plus about $150-200 import fees.
