Does anyone just have handguns

It depends on what day it is. I mostly have handguns but I've become a victim of ar fever.
I always used to have a shotgun around but don't do any hunting or skeet shooting lately.
My collection is fluid and changes all the time.

Just handguns for me. I've inherited a few long guns, but they were sold to buy new handguns :D . Owned a couple ARs, but none now.

I started as a hangunner in 1975 ( Beretta model 76). It lasted a year. Then..well.. came the first rifle ( that I still own) and the rest is history like they say. At one time, I had more money in guns than in my house..thanks God, I have grown up !!

I have always had longarms, a brit .303 from a family friend in my early 20's, bought a 12gauge, inherited a cooey .22, i always used my dad's longarms as a kid, loved his .22 lever, got to carry it while hunting as a young boy, i'm now 36 and just discovered handguns. Bought 2 already, and waiting for my PAL!!(should be in shortly!!yeah!!)

Just handguns for me. Bullseye, PPC (just started) and IPSC. I've never had any great interest in rifles, to be honest. Partly the cool factor of handguns, partly what I see as the extra challenges they pose to shoot well, and partly because I don't have any interest in hunting.

Having said that, if I had lots of disposable income (which I most definitely don't), I could get into skeet/trap and CAS without much pushing at all.

C'mon... a real "gun guy" has to have at least one in each category...:D

Recommended minimum battery:

1911 pistol in .45ACP

Rem 700 bolt action rifle in .308 Win or .30-06

Rem 870 12 ga shotgun

I'm definitely more of a handgun guy, but for me my staples are:

1911 - prefer my Delta Elite in 10MM but my Valtro .45 takes a close second

Browning Auto 5 - As far as I'm concerned the greatest shotgun ever designed, everybody needs at least one of these

AR15 - You know there's a configuration for everybody and I can't think of anything more fun than an AR15

Ruger 10/22 - (The one I got for my 7th birthday)

Well I hope you bought a bigger house then.

I used to own only handguns, but sold them off and purchased longuns. I sure miss my High Standards, my S&W 617 and my AGT 25 though.

The High Standards were amazingly accurate pieces of machinery. I had a very nice 104 Trophy from the 50's and a military grip Victor from the early 80's. The guns were far more accurate than I could ever hope to be.

I did have one pistol that I sold and was happy to find a buyer for. It was one of the first Ruger P85s to hit Canada. The trigger was very heavy, the accuracy was so-so and the slide would rattle if you shook the gun.

My new longarm collection is starting off well. A Winchester 1300, Winchester 9422 and a Savage 10FP-LE2B. I will get back into handguns one day but probably not for precision shooting. I would like to own a large caliber flintlock pistol one day....maybe even make it from a kit.

I sold my shotgun but still have two .22lr rifles, the rest are handguns....damn, I really miss the shotgun and I've had an itch for a AR variant for a while. The sad reality is a handgun is easier to 'hide' from the wife than a long gun.

Yep, thats all I own...

Although all I own is one gun :D As was posted above, if I had disposable income things would be different....

Handguns, rifles, shotguns, "black" rifles....come to think of it, the only thing I don't have at least one of is a muzzleloader.

Project for next week, muzzleloader.

Damn fine list! I totally agree; but would respectfully add my G17 to the pistol category as a potential addition and an AR-15 to complete the list!:)

Only pistols for now, but I'm getting cured of this disease in a few months: AR15, R22-MP5 and an SKS should do the trick. :)

I have both handguns and long guns. The only thing I enjoy shooting, handling, buying and talking about are handguns and I have no idea why this is? I used to hunt a little but now the long guns are wall decoration, since I buy my meat from a local area farmer. So if anyone is interested in a update 303 Brit, 12 ga. Wincester or .22 cooey pm me, so I can buy another restricted. AR's are nice however.
