Does anyone make short Remington 870 barrels with vent rib?

Building a second 870, and I've seen a pic or two online; I kind of like it and I'd be interested in finding a short barrel, 14-16", with the rib. Does anyone know if this is actually a thing, or are all those pics from people who live where they're allowed to cut a long barrel down?

Thanks for the responses! 20" is too long, unfortunately. I'm short and scrawny, and the 870 will be built as a companion for when I'm hiking into fishing spots.

I've reached out to Dlask to see if they'll be available. I'll keep an eye out on the EE just in case.

Keep us updated. I've got a wingmaster receiver I'm working on right now I'd love to put a proper looking 12-14" bbl on.

Unless Dlask can manufacturer a short vent rib barrel for you, you will have more success finding a 12.5-14” barrel with a raised pedestal and bead or taller blade front sight. You’ll need a taller front sight on a short barrel anyway to adjust for the high point of impact that comes along with a short barrel, a ghost ring setup or rifle sights would work also.

There are clamp-on vent ribs, although they're intended for clays guns and I don't know how suitable they'd be on a tactical shotgun?

If not that then you might be able to find someone who could solder a vent rib on your barrel.

Shortest factory 870 barrel with a VR/threaded for choke I've seen is the 21" turkey barrel. I'm pretty sure a VR barrel could be cut carefully, but I'd probably never do that. The usefulness of a shotguns (for my purposes) starts going down once you're under 20", at least for sporting purposes. Wing shots with even a 21" barrel (and I tried) were far less productive than even a 26" barrel.

I have a friend that has an 18 3/4” factory vent rib in the factory box. The reason that he bought it was that he’d never seen that configuration available before. This was over 15 years ago.

More recently they’ve made 18.5” 20 ga vent ribs for some of their youth models.
