You should definitely go out to the big trap club in Hamilton and ask some of the better shooters for advice on stock fit and shooting form, before doing anything else. You could also talk to the guys at Al Simmons gunshop. If your description is correct, and you are shouldering the gun correctly, and the stock is long enough, you will need a drop at the heel of something like 4"; that is huge. A Morgan pad will add maybe only an inch and a half drop. I suspect you need a longer stock, try adding an inch of wood between the stock and the butt pad and see if that helps.
