Does Anyone Own A Colt LTW Commander?

Richard,

I do own a Series 70 CLW & have to agree 100% with you it's a great piece for holster / range work........Mine is sceduled to get the night sight Novaks this fall. Aside from a trigger job, it's stock & great that way......

In terms of accuracy, the difference between two guns would be more (statistically speaking) then the difference between a Commander and a Gov't Model. I wouldn't go with a LW for IPSC, at least not if you plan on using it A LOT. The aluminum (pardon me, Duraluminum), will get beat up faster then steel. I actually find the short barreled guns easier to shoot, but that's probably due to aging eyes and focus difficulties then any inherant accuracy advantage in the gun. The idea behind a LW Commander was a gun that would be carried lot's, and shot little, and I believe it is one of the best choices for this. As a matter of fact, I'm looking for another. - dan
