Does everybody NEED a 1911?

It's the only gun I take out just to look at sitting on table. Fun to shoot too!
What ever doesn't work I can fix.

I feel the same way about a 'bone stock' 1911A-1 GI pistol... there's just something about an ole slabside warhorse...

Does everybody NEED a 1911?

Emphatically NO!

Does everybody want one?

Again NO! But with reservations.

I wanted one, so I got an STI Trojan, I also have a Remington-Rand. I like them both for different reasons.

There are people that will never buy one. What's the problem? Honestly, none.

YOU sir are a communist ! :D

I wish I never owned a 1911 before. I am afflicted with not only shooting them but also collecting different kinds and makes.

I am in this boat. And its like being on a perpetual booze cruise. The only time I get the 'hangover' is when the wife finds a new one hiding in the sugar bowl or cookie jar. I tried getting them home in a hollowed out loaf of bread, but that one fizzled after I couldn't explain why the loaf was hollowed out. Its hard finding new ways to smuggle them in.

Stoopid 1911s!! I love you

I did not buy one 1911 ! Not ONE...

I have TWO of them...

Now here's the rub: whenever people argue 9mm versus .45 ACP.... I just tell them to get BOTH and quit their #####in'.... LOL

Both my Brazilian (Imbel/Sproingfield Armory) 1911's are in .45 and 9mm.

Life is good....

In today's situation , no . It's a want .
it wouldn't take much in the world to make it a need .
I've alway's believed it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it .
1911's are nice but a 2011 would do ...
