read it somewhere and kinda curious now, so does handling your brass or cartridges really ruin it or wreak the brass or corrode it over time?. i've got some factory ammo in storage that i handled is it going to rot away now.

"...Unless you sweat battery acid..." Or ammonia. Your ammo will be fine as long as it's kept dry and without extreme temperature changes.

sounds good, wont worry about it then:). i dont tumble my brass, somtimes i wash them in dish soap, but thats about it.

yeah heard it on youtube didnt think the guy knew what he was talking about, so thought i'd get a second opinion.

Brasso and other polishing compounds won't weaken the brass either as some will try and tell you.

Finger oils will tarnish the brass after time (oxygen will do this as well) but will not harm it in anyway.

Handling certain types of brass like 38 sp, 357 mag, 45 ACP and particularly 45 LC is very hard on the brass and must be disposed of correctly and immediately. Under no circumstances should it be reloaded and shot for fear of something awful happening. I think in your circumstances the best thing you could do is send the fired brass to me for proper disposal.:D:D

thats good to know. so handling does not weaken the brass gotcha.

i feel better already, sinse i dont have a tumbler and after i just finished sorting all my brass i have no way of cleaning them, sounds like i dont have to worry about it, great news.

Damn, beat me too it, but i was going to recomend not even shooting it, just to send the loaded ammo to me
