Ohh my first post here ever. Im looking for a rifle im pretty sure dosnt exist in Canada yet. Im hoping someone here on the board can prove me wrong. Anyways im searching for a bullpup stlye rifle that can eject shell cassings on the left side due to my physical disabilty of being a southpaw. Also this rifle has to be reasonably priced. By reasonably priced I mean two thousand or less. A 223 is prefered. Any responces would be greatly apreciated. :sniper:

bullpup in canada? umm a lefty tavor for 3000$? as far as i know bullpups are illegal except the tavor. not sure why its exempt

Bullpups are not illegal. Bullpup stocks which make a regular rifle into a bullpup are illegal. Basically if the rifle can fire without the bullpup stock then its illegal but in the case of the Tavor/FS2000/T97 the stock is an integral to the rifle and cannot function without the stock. An example of an illegal stock would be a stock that turns a SKS into a bullpup.

That is, assuming that that's the firearm you've meant. I can't find any firearm named "FMAS" after a quick google search.

The choice of available bullpup rifles in Canada is pretty small - Tavor, FN PS90, FN P2000, Norinco T-97 (and you can't buy T-97 since it's in legal limbo). There is also a Truveo Neostead 2000 shotgun (no idea how lefty friendly it is).

a left hand ar 15 from stag arms is the only left hand rifle I have seen around in .223

Someone posted some photos of their AR FiveSeven upper in another thread. My understanding is that it ejects to the bottom of the firearm (through the mag housing of conventional AR-15 lower). Now, the costs of ammo for such a beast....

What of the Styer AUG? Some can eject to the left or right with a switch. I do not have an AUG, so do not know if they can function without the stock.

With regard to left hand ARs, DPMS used to make the Southpaw. Do no tknow if they still do.

the storm is likely the best bet then. Easily convertible to left handed, can be unrestricted with the right barrel. Is a bull pup.

The Storm isn't a bull pup. It's basically just a large pistol. That being said it's a very nice fun carbine.

there is a used lefty AR in the black rifle section right now
bull pups make the overall length too short and will basically make most guns into a prohib item
