Does IVI 9mm have a steel penetrator?

Never really though about it, just curious if anyone knows of the top of there head weather IVI 9mm has a steel penetrator? Never really put much though into it, just kinda curious. Googled it with no luck.

It does not. 124gr fmj with a lead core.However it is HOT stuff for handguns because they still load it to SMG specs.Shoots quite well in a good handgun but prolonged use may batter your frame a bit depending on what you are running it through.

Yea, first time I shot the CF's Browning Inglis 9mm, I was a bit surprised it was somewhat 'stout', and my instructor said it was a "hotter than normal 9mm, for SMG use". He then explained that the Inglis HiPowers were made of better steel than most 9mm's, and could handle the extra energy. Dunno if that's true about the steel frame, but when Canada decides to make something for war or the bush, we seem to make things as physically tough as we can, so I've been assuming he was correct.
