Designed solely to put some elitist .22 BR types into a tither while shooting circles around them.....pretty much everything but the R-22 reciever is custom.

Whatchathink?

I respectfully disagree. Tactical styled, semi auto, higher capacity than I can use in my AR, and costs as much as well.....putting the R22 in rimfire because of the caliber is akin to putting the AR180B or certain AR's in sporting arms because they are marked .223 instead of 5.56.

Of course, a quick search in black and green rifles using the search terms "R22" and "Krinker", and the multitude of returned matches will show that this opinion aparently is just not mine.

Could you move it back please.

Hmmm, well that 10-22 is not really born a black rifle.....more like it's undergone a ### change......after all it's still just a dressed up 10-22......and a rimfire it remains...

Ummmmm....WRONG.

This gun is born as you see it...with the exception of the PG and BS. Born and bread black.
The R22 does not share any features with a 10/22 except for the ability to accept the same aftermarket 25 round mags. In fact, it shares more with the AR15 (Lower parts kit/hammer/trigger group) than anyting. It is NOT a dressed up 10/22.

Thanks for coming out though.

Yes, whats your point? Do NOT say that .22 is a "sporting round".....unless you fully believe that all .223 and .308 marked "lookalikes" are sporting guns as well (AR 180B, several AR's, etc)

Cartridge really has nothing to do with it. It is design, function, cosmetics.

I chose a rimfire for a reason: I can only load 5 rounds into my AR's, I can put 50 into the R22.....and seeing as (like 99% of the "black gun" owners) the gun is never gonna shoot more than paper, I might as well have it fun.

Thanks guys!

As far as cost? Way more than the gun will ever be worth.
Can you? Depends.....hows your machining skills? The R22 is 100% aluminum, so your imagination is the limit.

I have one more R22 that I'm seriously thinking of turning into an MP5 SD clone.

DO IT!

OOPS...was thinking of the Krinker Plinker...but the R22 is still a rimfire...no matter how black, or as nasty you think it looks...

What exactly is your criteria to label a firearm "Black".....

I use the same criteria as any of the others:
In stock form will it give a liberal soccer mom a heart attack if she sees it? :D

Id say how they are built...but judging from some of the POS's generally accepted as black rifles are built, I wont use that consideration.
How they look (in STOCK form): (paramilitary ie "Black")
How they function: (Semi)
Pedigree: (ie: is this a through and through design? Or a "dress up kit")
Usage: Is this a rabbit gun? Not really.
Is it a target gun? While accurate, the fact that it is designed to only function with 25 round mags kinda limits it in that department)
The gun is built with full legth rails, a pistol grip, AR components, and a fully modular design...sounds like a black rifle to me.

I really dont think the cartridge has any bearing....we have "black rifles" in everything from 9mm to 50 BMG....who's to say a .22 cant be?

How does the mag. work? That's a very odd shape for a .22lr. P.S. can you make one in Walnut?

The mag is an extension. The R22m is designed only to work with 25 round mags....in my BR I am limited to ten. So I took a ruger 10 round rotary mag and modded it to fit, then screwed the extension on so I could get the thing out of the magwell.

Walnut? Exactly what part of it?

The plastic parts.
