Does my .22 look "black" enough?

I just had a brainstorm; what would make that right over the top IMO would be to Duracoat the furniture and barrel in Magpul FDE and leave the reciever, rails and scope black.

Oh yeah baby...

mine is black enough

I have my tactical Rimfire setup  That .45 is converted to .22. They make a beautiful pair imo.

P.S. I love the PSG-1 look you got. Pretty bang on.

I actually thought about it....but the snag I'm having is the forestock: It's actually a free-float tube and the top rail is intregal. (ie: it's the only thing holding the forearm there!) I thought it would look stupid with a FDe's rail and a black reciever......hmmm.

I happen to like the 2 tone look. I'd leave the reciever and integral rail black, do the forestock, grip and buttstock, do the scope and leave the rings black.

Suhweeeet.

If you're not sure, do it in Krylon first. Easy to remove if you don't like it, unlike Duracoat, or so I've read.

Jamie, the rail and forestock are one piece. Would you tape off the rail?

Excellent work. I just bought a 10/22 that looks like an AK which I am pretty happy with. Guess I need to find/build one to look like a black rifle.
