I bought a XCR 300 Rum last automn. Yesterday I did the trigger job on it to remove some creep. I noticed that the adjustments screws use a phillips screwdriver . Is the ''ancient system'' using Phillipps head and the X-Mark Pro using allen heads ?

AFAIK the old ones are flat and the xmark are allen. i am only 99% certain because both of mine are held in place with dabs of nailpolish after they were adjusted.

you can tell the xmark pro from the old trigers easily: the old ones are blued carbon steel with a ribbed trigger face and the xmark is shiny stainless with a smooth trigger face.

is it a new or used gun?

for the record i much prefer the old one. the only thing i dont like about it is now and then i completely spray it out with some gun oil and a bit of rusty oil comes out the seams - meaning things are actually rusting/rusted in the housing. i like that the xmark pro is all stainless but i dont really like the trigger or the new smooth trigger face or the rediculous amounts of epoxy it comes with sealing the screws and in the allen heads.

I found that without the locktight xmark triggers will get light enough to slam fire within 10 to 20 rounds - get the blue stuff.

after the adjustments, I just cover the screw heads with a couple of coats of clear nail polish...feel free to use whatever color you prefer.

:)

Very Stange. I got that gun a year ago. It was brand new. And it have the old trigger. I don't mind cause I adjusted it and now it is very crisp and clean.
