Does Near Mfg Alphamount need lapping

I plan to use Richard's base to mount a SB 5-25 ×56 on a TRG.
BTW , what is the best anticant level that work well with that setup ?

Also - flatline ops covert level is a great fit. I run one on all 3 of my SB. In alpha mount set ups . Prophet river is the Canadian importer for them
