Does Norinco test fire each M305/M-14 rifle with a proof cartridge before it gets shipped out?

Doubt it. Canada Ammo started testing with a proof load after there were some reports of barrels shooting off though.

Of the 4 XM-305 i bought over the years for my grandkids, 3 needed to be indexed.

I am not buying them anymore.

Some truth to that. The majority of them aren't particularly accurate. I think I've had about 8 of them. And found one that was pretty decent accuracy wise, and one that was exceptional. The rest were the typical kind of accuracy. I kept the 2 good ones and did all the accuracy mods, including hand fitting tighter bolts. Suffice it to say that even with the older ones you had to kiss a few toads. Sounds like the new ones are incrementally worse.
