The barrel of my new CanAm shorty is bright and shiny...no residue of any kind. Same as my new M4.

However, the barrel of my new 2009 M14S was pretty dirty. I brought the rifle back on another matter and queried the dirty barrel. I was told that that was from test firing.

Did I get misled by this vendor?

all are test fired, 1 in 10 are proofed. at plant 356 (m305)

remember that norinco is an exporter, not a manufacturer. each plant is different.
