Does removing bayonet on SKS change point of impact?

I took the bayo off 3 SKS rifles and did not notice a significant change in POI.

I did not see the improvement in grouping I was hoping for, either.

Have you tried bedding the front socket where it attaches to the stock? . It helped my chinese SKS a lot.

Purely a guess: I would think point of aim on a rest may not be too noticeable, but how about free hand with it off? Or better yet, the bayonet extended & freehand shooting?

i always fire with mine folded , never removed .

i did try with a bipod at the front and it did change poi significantly .
