Does the Girsan Yavuz 16 Compact require any tweaking?

Looking at picking one up after handling one last night. I already own a full size Beretta, so am familiar with the platform. My question from anyone who has one is are the GY exact copies, or do they need stuff done to them to bring them "up to" Beretta specs?

I'd rather just have to swap out the grips and install a D spring on it if I pick one up

I didn't like the stock trigger, I have put a D spring and polished the internal parts and it s now a fine fine pistol.
BTW the girsan compact does not accept the compact beretta wood grips but the full size ones will fit.

Good to go out of the box, recoil spring is even decent.

well, to get the real Beretta up to the level of the Turkish pistol, you would have to swap out the plastic guide rod and trigger

yea, what they said, just the D spring and some polishing. I put on Beretta wood grips too, but other than that, its just a great looking, great shooting pistol.

oh and get yourself some 96 mags
