Im in the process of shopping for relaoding manuals online, I currently have the speer #14 and was looking at purchasing the Lee # 2 and Lyman 49th

then I realised im going to be loading hornady interlocks in 30 cal 165 gr btsp loading RL15 as a powder

can someone please confirm if this load is in one of the books as id prefer not having to spend another 40$ on a book

thanks in advance :D

Hornady Manual #7 lists 308 Win with all 165/168gr Hornady bullets RL-15 load 35.2 - 44.3gr max

You can of course use other manuals 308 Win 165gr data for your Hornady bullet as long as you work up from starting load.

really, except for all copper bullets such as TSX pick a bullet weight from another manufacturer and work with that. Using 168 grain bullet data would be more than fine as a starting point too.

Hornady 8th edition has the #3045 BTSP B.C. 0.435 C.O.L. 2.750"
RL15 starts at 35.2 grain (2100 fps) to 44.3 (2600 fps)

I didn't find the Hornady manual any better than the others I use so it's up to you to buy one or not. They listed like most manuals all their bullets of same weight.calibre together so the 165 you want and the other 165/168 were all listed in one group with one set of loads for all of them. You can use the data for the same powder/calibre/bullet weight from other manuals. You won't get the exact same results they do anyways because they didn't use your rifle to test it but a special barrel in a pressure testing machine.

Just to make sure, the recipe i gave you was for 308 Winchester. You specified .308 but a lot of different calibers use .308 bullet like 30-06 springfield.
