does the ontario cfo actually answer phone calls

I called the Ontario cfo several times last week and always got an answering machine. Do they actually have someone to answer the phone? or just return calls to messages?

They used to answer if you were lucky. I think it's message only now.

usually you have to leave a message now. sometimes you get put on hold and wait a long while

Takes a while but you can get through eventually. I called on Friday to get a reg cert. Was on hold for just over 10mins and the guys said wrong dept and transferred me to another. Another 5mins waiting before I had to hang up to grab lunch and watch the Canada vs USA hockey game. Called back around 3pm and got the automated message saying their system was having technical issues and try calling back later. I called back 10min later and was on hold for around 8mins before someone picked up. Guess that was to be expected during that hockey game. lol
