20 rounds of once fired .300 Win Mag brass, fired from another rifle.
All brass functions through my rifle.
Does this brass require full length resizing or neck sizing only.
Measuring to the shoulder suggests the other rifle had a tighter chamber than mine.
While this is quite a rare occurrence, is neck sizing safe?

Yes neck sizing is safe ... If the brass cycles through your rifle with no resistance at all , it has bin shot in a chamber tighter than yours and will be fine in your rifle. When you shoot in your rifle it will become formed to your chamber.

You should only have to full length resize when you start to feel resistance when cycling your brass ... typically in magnums around 3 to 5 shots.

I prefer to full length resize as little as possible as it is quite hard on your brass. Rifles are typically more accurate with fire formed brass

Neck sizing is never really unsafe I figure. At least not in a bolt action. It's only unsafe in a semi where you don't have control of the feeding.

In a bolt, the worst that will happen is you won't be able to chamber it properly, in which case, you won't try and fire it unless you're a bit slow.

If it's the correct cal' for you gun, a safe load to fire, and will chamber properly, it should be safe, even if it is a bit tight.

Yep if they cycle through your rifle without "feeling" the case at the downturn of the bolt, you're good to go. Are you talking neck sizing with a neck die, or partial sizing in a FL die as this is different and can cause your case body to grow and may not work so neatly. If partial sizing just run her down where you want to and then cycle it through the rifle again to make sure, if the bolt closes with little or no resistance, have at 'er.
