Shop trying to make a few bucks off a package combo scope?

x2 That's what I think also. Buyer wanted to upgrade scope on combo package, they then sell scope as new.

I too agree with ring mark rubs.
Whether it was used for hunting or shooting you won't know.
Could quite possibly be mounted on store inventory and taken off
resulting in those ring marks.

Can it be qualified as new?
Open box stock …………. maybe.

I got a previously mounted scope once, but it was such a good deal I let it slide. Told they about it though.

A more interesting case was when a friend got the wrong scope in a sealed box. Ordered a 30mm side focus and got a 1" fixed parallax instead. Took a month to straighten that one out.
