My next gun will be an AR 15, I like the M4 configuration, and really like the look of the 14.5" barrel. Does this look decent?

http://www.questar.ca/deals/CMMG_DPMS_Pkg.htm

The barrel has a 1/7 twist and I plan to use the gun alot at an indoor range with a .22 conversion kit. I understand .22 shoot better in a 1/16 twist barrel, so would a 1/9 twist barrel shoot a little better?

Dlask also make an M4 model with 14.5" barrel and a 1/9 twist, plus they are Canadian.

Another question, do Questar have alot of their guns/parts in stock, or do they have to import them when you order?

The price looks really good,i'd go for it.
Cripes it even comes with a free UTG quad rail handguard.

And finding AR15 small parts can be tough.

that pretty good prices, I remember buying my first ar15 colt in 1990 was around $1000, price gone down pretty low compare to a few year back!...

so would a 1/9 twist barrel shoot a little better?
1/9 twist would go good would go good with Alround ammo(55, 62,& 68grain)

I'd go with the DPMS. I've heard bad things about Dlask, and from gut feeling I wouldn't go with them.

1/7 or 1/9 is fine for .223 or 5.56. I wouldn't base the choice of rifling of my AR on the .22 rimfire conversion.

Walt once posted that for the usual .223 rem bullets. the 1/9 seems to shoot a little better. But if you plan to shoot heavy bullets, +69gr, 1/7 seems the way to go.

If you want to do a lot of .22 shooting see if you can find a Norinco barrel. They were 1 in 12 twist and worked quite well for a 22 conversion. They shot 55 and 62 gr well but anything heavier was a no go.

Bad things about Dlask? I have every gun i own worked on by joe himself.... from custom tuned 1911's to 8.5 " AR shorty..... and now he does my m14 barrels...... nothing short of 150% everytime.

Stay away from Dlask. Joe may do great work on tweaking guns but the quality control on the AR's has been real hit and miss.

I have an old orig colt m16a1 upper chrome chamber but not chrome bore 1-12 twist works real good with my .22 conversion kit no harm done to upper i ve shot approx 2 K .22 thru it I just allways shoot a couple of .223 rnds thru it berfoe i leave to keep gas system clear then when home i clean it

I heard a lot of bad things about Dlask too

So, I went over to Dlask and talked to Joe.

I wanted to see if this guy is real or a real scum.

Since you are in the Greater Vancouver Area, you could do the same thing.

I have a Dlask AR that impresses everybody everytime I shoot that rifle.

I had Joe put a heavy competition 16" barrel, he put in a RRA two stage trigger (I love it).

There is a lot of Dlask AR 15 owners and Majority loves their rifle, me included.

I had my rifle for close to 4 years now and would not hesitate to buy another one from him.

I patronized Canadian, sock it to the Liberals (at that point they were in power and wanted to ban all firearms) and actually got a very good deal for a rifle built to my specifications.

I would suggest you talk to him and if you feel like he is not a good person to deal with, go to any of our other sponsors.

I am just putting my own personal experience with Joe and his product and I am a Happy Customer.:)
