I'm looking for a fairly specific shotgun but I don't know if it exists...

-12ga
-Pump
-18in bbl (or close to it)
-Full length mag tube (so 7 or so rnds)
-bead sight
-takes choke tubes!

Preferably an 870 but this is the closest I've come:

The only problem is I don't want the goofy 5hit like the rail, the muzzle brake and the ghostring sights. If the sights are removable from the barrel on this model it might just be the animal I'm looking for but I dunno if they come off...

Furthermore, if it does exist, it would be nice to pick it up in the EE for <$400

maybe I'm crazy.

The only upside to buying the express tactical one (pic you showed) is that it is threaded for rem chokes, all the other remington 18" barrels are fixed chokes. and yes, the rail comes off but im not sure about the front sight

There is a Remmy 870 Tactical without the bling for under $400. SFRC has one in stock.

Pretty sure that one does not accept chokes. If it did, it would be perfect.

Yes, that's why I posted the one pictured, I want it to accept chokes. I don't know why the others don't.... it's kinda stupid.

Hey Wally, I think you're right on that 870 not having a threaded choke. There is an 870 Tactical Express Grey that has a bead front sight and no rail system. It does come with the breaching choke but that can easily be removed and replaced with another.

The choke is the biggest deciding factor for me thinking about getting an 870 over a Mossy 590A1 series.

It costs about $100 to have gunsmith convert a barrel to choke tubes, you might want to look at that.
