Okay so I did a "ladder test" seems my 308 Mauser likes somewhere between 43 and 44 grains of varget and 155 grain sierra's or so I thought so I loaded up 43-45 in .2 and here are the pics. Last pic is factory Winchester 150gr.

43.5gr sighter.

Is this thing telling me to grab a different powder
Bullet combo?? Note: the 1/4 targets were to Give me a solid aiming point as I only have a very old 4x scope!

Looks to me like you shot groups and didn't do a ladder test. I'd load up some more from 44.5- 45.5 in .2 or .3 grain increments and go from there. If you can load up 20 rds of each and shoot 2 5 rds groups in will give you a better idea what the most consistantly accurate load is.

I shot the ladder before this trip to find an are where I should start. But yeah these are definitley groups lol. Good call on the 44.5-45.5.

With 155s you "should" be good to go til around the 45.5 grains of varget zone. You will probably find a node in there somewhere. More velocity is never really a bad thing either if you can find a node with some speed. Like always go slow and watch for pressure signs.
