Does vibratory polishing work harden brass?

Here's a Q: Does vibratory polishing appreciably work harden brass?

I'm guessing that it does, but, on a level that you'd never notice.
Work hardenning, is primarily the result of heavy working of the brass. Usually resizing.

I wouldn't think it would work harden brass any more than handling it does....it's not like you are shot peening it......

And if you keep brasso and/or other polishing products that contains ammonia, it should be all good.

The movement is high-frequency, but low amplitude, plus the brass casing is 'free' too move within the media. So I don't think this will work the brass enough to make a noticeable difference on the metal's rigidity.
