I just got a g17 a couple days back and i noticed it has a lot of rattle to it. even without the make in it.

there is also some play between the frame and the slide.

is this normal?

thanks:D

Mine does too, this is perfectly normal, indicates that firing pin channel is clean.
If it does not, then ti's a concern

The way I live with my Glock is "if it safe and shoots fine, then it's probably just fine".

The pistol has some pretty loose tolerances, which help it run and run and run with minimum maintenance and lubing. What amazes me is that, even being so, they are still very accurate.

The less you clean it, the tighter it gets :D

Mine doesn't rattle at all, but with the slide locked back, the barrel does wiggle a bit though...

I own several Glocks and I don't think any of mine rattle at all.

Check your firing pin channels aren't full of gunk... ;)
