Does your scope ever fog up?

Unless you know what coating has been applied to the lens at the factory, don’t put any shaving cream, soap, Rain-X, snake oil…. on them. They may cause adverse reaction and slowly dissolve the factory lens coating. You scope warranty may void as a result.

RainGuard works. I have hunted my 3200 in rain, snow and freezing rain conditions. They never fog up.

ummm I never said my 3200's fog up I said I notice a big difference between my "3200's/4200's" and my "Bushnell muzzle loader scope". When I was hunting the white tail muzzle loader season this past year my damn scope fogged so bad I could hardly see the cross hairs and it was only -8. I have been out with my 5-15x50mm 3200 in -25 weather and not once has it fogged on me.

clear?

Yup, now that I read your post again lol I withdraw my response :D

So what about the Conquest then? I was thinking of buying one in 1.8-5x38. Are they fogproof like the Leuppy and Bushnells? Anyone have one?

Agreed. I have always used flip ups, they are awesome, especially when your hunting and its snowing.I like the ones that are clear and I can see through, for when the weather really sucks and I do not want to open the caps to get all jammed up with snow.

I've heard of alot of people complaining about the see through caps. But they seem like they would work OK.

But yah...nothing worse than pulling my rifle up and seeing blurry s**tty snow in my fawking scope cuz I was too cheap/senile to remember to spend 30$ on the nessecities

solid advice that all of use should consider, especially the poster who rubs cat s**t on his scope:D

My Schmidt never fogs up unless I breathe on it. The anti-fog wipe that came with it (some no-name Chinese brand) works really well. I breathed on the ocular lens at like -20C a few weeks back and the fog went away in like 30 sec. Tried the same wipe on my friend's NightForce a couple of weeks back (also freezing as hell) and got the same effect: fog went away in less than a minute.

Something tells me the fogging up might have more to with the anti-fog wipes vs. the glass itself... Not sure
