Dogleg daughter, first WT buck, now with son's WT

10 years and I hope to be posting pics like that with my eldest daughter. Great job.

The girl and I will be down there next week for NR Whities. Can't wait.

Are the left brow tine and the little sticker on the right long enough to count? Regardless, I'm 27 and have not taken a buck yet, let alone a big 7 (possibly 9) pointer :) Good for her!

I thought I'd add the boys buck to this thread instead of starting a new one. We were on my property today watching a decent muley buck watch a couple of moose,(got some lousy pics) then moved off a bit just in time to see this little guy chaseing a doe.

It was across a little coulie and they stopped in the tiniest little dip and dropped out of sight except for the tips of the does ears. I told him just to watch until they moved since they couldn't stay there forever, and any movement would bring them back into view. I was on my rifle as well, half thinking about filling my doe tag after he shot.

Eventually they moved out and the young guy got his shot, a little farther back than we would have liked. When the buck started down the ravine I had a flashback of trying to drag the daughter's buck uphill, and just plastered it to avoid the risk of a heart attack.

The range was 257, as were the rifles we were both carrying today. Its sort of a father son thing we do. There was nothing else to do while we we waiting but laser it over and over, and remind the boy to breathe once in a while.

All I got today was a 375 yard coyote, this unpaid guideing isn't that productive.:(

Its a fun little spot I got to take the kids, you can find just about anything there from time to time. Like these guys we were watching before the buck and doe came up to us. I've got to get a better camera and 1/2 mile of rope. The potential for long range shooting, well that's just a bonus.;)
