dogs to the u.s

Buddy of mine goes across boarder all the time with 2 labs. He only carries the vaccination papers. Proof of rabies is what they are after.
 
I live in Ontario and my vet is in NY state.....take my dogs all the time....just have copies of vac records on you
 
Like everyone's said, vaccine papers and dog tags.

I brought a dog with me when I moved home from the states. He comes across on a regular basis. Never have had to show my papers once.

You will also need special papers from"ATF" in Washington to bring your shotguns into USA.Do you have this "Form 6" ?

I drive truck and just watch because sometimes you get the odd prick that will make you dump out your dog food because its not made in the U.S.A all we do is buy a bag over their that says U.S.A and refill the same bag over and over
 
One thing you need to know. They want to see the ingredients of your dog food. It must not contain lamb or goat. If the dog food is not in the original package you'll need to toss it. If you cannot find your brand of food your dog will get the runs. Not fun on a road trip.
