I'd like to try out some of this Dominion ammo without buying a whole case. I made that 'mistake' with a case of S&B 115g FMJ 9mm but my pistol doesn't like it. The pistol does like PMC but I'd like to find alternatives too. If anyone in the North or NorthEast GTA area is willing to sell or swap a few boxes of Dominion for my S&B, PM me. Otherwise, I'll just have to buy another pistol and see if it likes S&B, lol.

Brother something has to be wrong with your pistol or that batch of S&B. that's always been good ammo . I've seen - shot a 9mm that did'nt like 147gr ammo but 115 &124 no problem . as someone else said what are you shooting ??

I Can't share ammo...but can share info. I bought 1000. Shot 200 so far out of a CZ shadow, 198 performed well, 2 did not fire and I had to remove the slide and pry them out.

It's a Diamondback DB9FS (old slide). It gets shards of crescent-shaped material in the striker channel and after 10 or 20 rounds starts to interfere with the striker and ends up with light strikes. The PMC works fine. I initially wondered at the time whether the bullet coating was being scraped off when entering the chamber but tried scraping a bullet with a knife and it seemed fine. However, I just started shooting the PMC after that and haven't investigated further. I want to try Blazer and Dominion to have alternatives I'm confident in.

edit: here's a couple of old threads where the DB9FS was discussed https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1279446-Review-Diamondback-DB9-FS-UPDATED https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1160364-March-15-stock-In-Canada-43-OFF!!!-US-MADE-9MM-DB9FS-299-99-USD!!!-REG-483-34

Another thought I had was dried primer sealant bits however I don't know if S&B uses sealant but I haven't made any further effort to figure it out.

Sorry to say I have never heard of that pistol. S&W Glock CZ Norinco stuff etc but not that model . S&B used to ues primer sealer but from the ammo I have seen as of late they do not. try that ammo in a buddys pistol and see how it functions.

I'm sure there's nothing "wrong" with the ammo, went bang fine until light primer strikes start. It is just these mystery shards of material made it incompatible with this pistol, otherwise I like the pistol except I can't get used to that mushy trigger.

I have run several boxes of Dominion through a Spanish Star Super B as well as a Canik and a Commercial P38 HP without any issues at all.

I received 1000 9mm today.

Shot 150 rounds in:
Beretta 92
Girsan /Betetta
Shadow 2
2 different Beretta cx4 carbines.

All worked perfectly, seems accurate too.

Well my friend I had never heard of that pistol of yours so I googled it . well if I'm not mistaken there was a lot of negitive stuff said about that pistol . I had limited time to read due to my crazy hrs at work . you might want to do some research on that pistol . one dealer said he will never sell then again on the net.

all this was in the US. I don't know how you cash flow is but you might want to cut your losses and sell it off and buy a Glock in 9mm or a CZ 75 or 85 . who needs the stress of not knowing or wondering if your pistol is going to work or not . I like my firearms to be as reliable as a brick. or a hammer. enough said.

Yeah, like many new products, there were some issues with some people. Except for the S&B ammo incompatibility, it has worked perfectly for me. I don't know if I'll get used to the mushy striker-fired trigger though.
