Dominion Ammunition catalogue from 1940

Funny not long ago I was going through some boxes in the garage and I came across a box and a half of CIL .30 cal 180gr CPE bullets, I used to load them in my 308 WIN about 45 years ago, they worked great on moose, bear and deer, never shot an elk with them. The only .30 cal that I have now is a 300 RUM which might drive them to fast and cause violent expansion in close, plus I have a great load with 190gr NABLR so not going to mess with them.:)

I still have some of my grandfather’s Dominion/CIL ammo from the ‘40s. Never had plastic Ziplock bags back then, he kept loose shells in old hunting socks between seasons. I still have one if his old worn out scratchy blue socks filled with a handful of Imperial high brass shotgun shells. Every time I see them I time warp back 70 years…see the SxS, smell the pipe tobacco and hear his beagles chasing cottontails. We lived in the golden age. Thank you for the post.
